Cosmic Dealer's 85% dark chocolate is lightly sweetened with dates instead of sugar, resulting in a less sweet yet still delicious flavor. The sweetness comes exclusively from dates, which have a different glycemic index than regular sugar. The chocolate is made from 85% raw cacao and is vegan, gluten-free, and certified organic from bean to bar. This means the ingredients are sustainably and ethically sourced and minimally processed.

The chocolate is made with very small pieces of real dates, which are high in fiber. This fiber helps the sugar be absorbed more slowly, potentially keeping the glycemic index lower than other sugars, such as honey or coconut sugar.
Dates also contain fewer calories than regular sugar and have a lower fructose content than agave or honey, making them less sweet. Grinding whole dried fruits preserves the fruit's vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
