Leo and Carla are the young founders of Pure U. The passion for sustainable and caring cosmetics that care for the skin and protect the environment unites the founding couple of the young German start-up from Bielefeld.
In 2016, after stopping the pill, Carla developed severe hormonal acne . She then began to delve deeply into the topics of skin, skincare, and makeup. She wanted to understand her skin's needs and the causes of blemishes in order to improve her complexion in the long term. Carla quickly noticed how many questionable ingredients most makeup products contain. She also noticed that there are hardly any natural cosmetic brands that exclusively produce nourishing makeup.
