The story of SeventyOne Percent

It's the story of two surfers who wanted to combine their love of the waves, nature, and sport with a skin protection product that wouldn't harm their habitat. The sunscreen should be both protective and caring, amidst water, sand, and wind. There were no products on the market at that time that met their needs. So Marc Levy and Raphaël Vannier set out to develop just such a sunscreen with specialists and launched SeventyOne in 2009 with the first sunscreens. The name derives from the fact that the earth, and the human body, are made up of 70% water – and that 1% of the proceeds go to the organization Vision du Monde, which supports disadvantaged children. SeventyOne Percent remains true to its principles to this day and follows the guidelines of Mother Earth Approved, which demand a strong commitment to environmental and social issues, as well as respect for the consumer.
