Beachkind
Beachkind was founded in 2021 by an ordinary family with young children in Sweden, Mona and Christian, driven by the need to protect themselves and their two little preschool-aged boys from the harmful effects of the sun.
Sunscreen with 100% natural ingredients
Beachkind sunscreen contains 100% natural ingredients - proven and gentle ingredients such as natural and organic oils, butters, waxes, minerals and vitamins, all proven to be safe for health.
The sun protection in the certified organic products is formed by a physical filter containing tiny natural non-nano mineral particles of zinc oxide. Along with other moisturizing ingredients, the zinc oxide forms a layer on the skin that repels both UVA and UVB rays before they penetrate the skin. Protects directly upon application.
Beachkind sunscreen is free of ingredients like oxybenzone and octinoxate (which are banned in some parts of the world), as well as microplastics and nanoparticles. Beachkind has chosen to work with mild and allergy-friendly ingredients - proven ingredients such as natural and organic oils, butters, waxes, minerals and vitamins, all of which have been proven to be safe for human health. Beachkind products are safe for children as well as adults and pregnant women.
Mineral sun protection for the whole family
The characteristic scent of Beachkind is a sunny fragrance consisting mainly of vanilla, freesia and orange blossom. The fragrance blend is labeled as perfume in the ingredients list. It is a fragrance blend with natural and essential oils, which is so mild that it can be used even for delicate children's skin.
Eco-certified sunscreen production
Beachkind products are manufactured in the EU in a Cosmos Organic and GMP certified facility that sets high standards for ingredients, manufacturing and internal testing. The manufacturer has managed to find a formulator/laboratory that shares the same values as Beachkind itself and that develops and produces their products in a safe way.
Sunscreen tested by an independent party
In addition to the manufacturer's own tests, an independent test laboratory has been commissioned to check and certify the sun protection factor (UVA/UVB) of the products in accordance with various sun protection requirements. You can't get any safer than that. This makes Beachkind the epitome of safety and fun in the sun.

How the foundation of Beachkind came about
Mona used to blog about natural beauty and has a keen interest in organic and natural products. In this respect, we once again find an overlap with North Glow. Christian has worked in purchasing, production and sales in e-commerce for many years and has a passion for product development and branding.
Beachkind was born out of the desire for a sunscreen that smells good - AND - that is compatible for humans, animals and the environment. We all know the classic sunscreen brands that smell like summer, tropical drinks and sunbathing. Unfortunately, these often contain substances that are toxic to marine life and potentially harmful to humans and the environment.
Beachkind saw a strong need here and wanted to do things differently. They set out to give their customers the opportunity to choose a sunscreen that smells good, is functional and protects the environment. Everyone should have the opportunity to be a beach hero!
