    Ayurveda Soulfood is the manufactory of Ayurveda cook Eva Baumgartl near the Bavarian Alps. Eva's heart beats for Ayurveda and also coffee, more precisely coffee alternatives. With her special, handmade Ayurveda coffee blends, she combines both: modern decaffeinated coffee enjoyment with Ayurveda spices for a healthy coffee ritual.

    Eva Baumgart, founder & creative head of the brand, brings to Ayurveda Soulfood her holistic knowledge as a trained Ayurvedic cook and yoga teacher, as well as 20 years of experience in the food and yoga industry with passion. Before

    Eva founded her own company, she studied economics and holds a diploma in Business Administration, Life & Food Sciences from TU Munich including a stay at UC Berkeley.

    The story of Ayurveda Soulfood and how Cosmic Coffee was born from it

    It all started in 2016 with Ayurvedic cooking workshops, yoga classes and day retreats in Rosenheim. Then in 2019 Eva founded the label AYURVEDA SOULFOOD with a focus on Ayurveda and Ayurvedic inspired products. The studio of the same name was located near Rosenheim for over 3 years. Meanwhile Eva works location-independent, but the production still takes place regularly in a manufactory near Rosenheim. All blends are still made and packaged personally by Eva.

    All products were developed by Eva and are still produced by hand in small batches at Rosenheim. Starting with the selection of sustainable packaging, purchasing the spices, testing the mixtures to the final design. To form something holistically, from the idea to the marketing with your own hands is what makes Eva special. Since the beginning Eva attaches importance to purely organic ingredients and avoids plastic in production and manufacturing wherever possible.

    The idea for an Ayurveda coffee was born

    After studying Life & Food Sciences at the TU Munich, Eva additionally trained as an Ayurvedic cook in 2016.

    Since coffee is not traditionally drunk in Ayurveda houses, in Eva's training a delicious spiced coffee was prepared instead, i.e. a similar tasting alternative. Every morning this drink was elaborately cooked with freshly ground spices, (boiled out) coffee and grain coffee. The smell of warm spices filled the room and it was a great alternative to regular coffee.

    Back again, Eva missed this wonderful Ayurvedic coffee from the training, but found the preparation too elaborate. Therefore, she decided to develop a more suitable Ayurvedic coffee for everyday use. Thus, a mild, caffeine-free and Ayurvedic-inspired coffee called Cosmic Coffee was created. 

    Tip from founder Eva: For those who want to reduce caffeine in everyday life, but do not want to do without it completely, a blend of Cosmic Coffee with a little espresso is also highly recommended. Less caffeine and a spicy pleasure.
