Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows along the coast of South America and is related to frankincense, myrrh, and copal. In Spanish, the name translates as "sacred wood - tree of life."
Palo Santo is traditionally used to purify the air of bacteria and, most importantly, to dispel bad energy and spirits. It is also commonly used to relieve colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, and much more.
Palo Santo, also known as "holy wood," has been used in aromatherapy for centuries. The pleasant scent released when the wood burns has a calming effect and promotes a relaxed atmosphere.
Anima Mundi's goal is to offer sustainable Palo Santo to support the preservation of Native lands and the culture associated with the sacred and ceremonial harvest of this sacred tree. Supporting proper harvesting promotes the preservation of the land and Native consciousness.
Use a candle, match, or lighter to ignite the Palo Santo wood.
Hold the Palo Santo wood at an angle of about 45 degrees, pointing the tip downward toward the flame. Let it burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, then blow it out.
Smoke your workplace, your home, your car, or any other place where you want to clear the energy.
After use, place the stick in a fireproof bowl made of metal, glass, or clay. The embers will extinguish themselves unless you blow on them, which will keep the smoke burning. Please always be careful when handling fire.
