The pigment in Le Vernis Nude No 963 Himanthalia
The red alga Lithothamnion calcareum contains a powerful pigment inside its plastids. Since the Bronze Age, seafaring peoples have learned to harness this coloring power. Decoratively painted pottery bowls and amphorae, such as those found in the shipwrecks of Ulubarum off the coast of Turkey, demonstrate that this coloring power was indeed already being utilized at that time.

Preparation:
Wash your hands thoroughly. Soak a lint-free cotton pad with nail polish remover and gently wipe your nails to remove any residue from polish, oil, or dirt. This optimally prepares the nail surface. -
Shape & Care:
File your nails into the desired shape and smooth any unevenness with a polishing file. An even surface ensures a perfect polish result. -
First layer:
Apply a thin coat of Le Vernis No. 963 Himanthalia from the nail bed to the tip. Alternate painting the nails on both hands to allow the coats to dry evenly. -
Second layer:
Repeat with a second thin coat. This will intensify the color and provide a vibrant, professional finish. -
Let it dry:
