Put a teaspoon of Kalima in the palm of your hand. Slowly add water drop by drop until you have reached a consistency that is pleasant and ideal for you. Less water results in a stronger scrub; more water results in a gentler cleanse. The mixture will start to foam - this ensures that the ingredients are fully integrated. Gently massage the mixture into damp skin in circular motions. Rinse well with warm water.
To use as a deep cleansing mask, allow the cream to dry on the skin before washing off with warm water or removing with a muslin cloth soaked in warm water and gently pat your skin dry with a towel.
COCONUT MILK (from organic farming) is moisturizing and makes the skin supple. It contains skin-friendly vitamins A and C, calcium, iron and natural proteins. Coconut milk helps to soothe irritated skin, and the natural fatty acids it contains help to clarify and tighten the skin.
ASCORBIC ACID aka Vitamin C helps to brighten and smooth skin tone and strengthens the skin's collagen and elastin fibers. This is crucial for slowing down the skin's own aging processes.
WILD-HARVESTED BANANA FRUIT is rich in potassium and vitamin A. Banana is excellent for dry skin and provides it with sufficient moisture.
OATMEAL (from organic farming) has a soothing effect on the skin. Oatmeal contains water-binding polysaccharides and hydrocolloids that retain moisture in the skin and make it supple. Oatmeal is also known to relieve atopic dermatitis and contact dermatitis.
LEAHLANI makes an in-house blend of genuine Hawaiian Alaea sea salt and organic vanilla beans - ground into a fine and silky powder. Alaea salt gets its pink color from the particles of volcanic red clay. Alaea clay consists of over 80 individual minerals and is rich in iron oxide. The combination with vanilla provides a pleasant feeling during cleansing and at the same time brings a wealth of minerals to the skin.
HIBISCUS FLOWER (from organic farming) LEAHLANI uses the red 'Roselle' hibiscus flower. This particular flower has been called 'nature's anti-ageing agent' due to its firming and tightening properties on the skin. Hibiscus contains natural AHA, which can help accelerate cell renewal, slough off dead skin cells more easily and regulate acne breakouts. Hibiscus helps to strengthen the skin's elasticity and moisturize it. The anthocyanocides it contains make pores appear smaller due to its astringent properties.
BROWN RICE POWDER (from organic farming) is a gentle but effective exfoliant that helps cleanse the skin of daily pollutants and gently remove dead skin cells.
GUAVA AND CAMU CAMUfruits are rich in collagen-stimulating vitamin C and antioxidants. The natural acids in this superfood contribute to an even skin tone and act as a mild exfoliant.
BENTONITE CLAY When activated with water, this clay, which is extracted from volcanic ash, creates a kind of electrical charge, which allows it to effectively absorb and remove toxins and impurities in the skin.
PINK CLAY is full of iron oxides, which give it this beautiful rosy color. Pink clay provides a mild exfoliation and improves blood circulation, supports collagen and elastin synthesis and helps to promote new cell growth. Pink clay also helps to reduce inflammation, refine skin texture and counteract hyperpigmentation.
KAOLIN CLAY Is also known as white clay or porcelain clay. Kaolin is very gentle and contributes to a mild exfoliation of the skin, stimulates blood circulation and leaves a soft complexion that radiates health.
