Gynostemma is native to Southeast Asia and has long been valued there. In China, Gynostemma tea, also called Jiaogulan tea, is traditionally enjoyed. The tea is made from the leaves of Gynostemma, a plant known for its rich nutritional composition.
Gynostemma contains a variety of nutrients, including amino acids, vitamins, and minerals such as selenium, magnesium, zinc, calcium, iron, potassium, manganese, and phosphorus. It also contains many antioxidants.

Add 1 teaspoon to about 235 ml of hot, but not boiling, water. Steep for about 1-2 minutes, strain, and enjoy. The leaves are naturally so sweet and aromatic that a second or third infusion still produces a wholesome tea.
