The story behind Arithmos' Australian natural cosmetics
Concern about her little daughter's dry and itchy skin prompted Michelle Wang, founder of Arithmos, to develop her own formulation of gentle yet intensively nourishing body care in 2019.
Michelle herself said: "I tried so many products, but nothing helped... The amount of different products I was applying to her skin worried me as a mother. My knowledge of the ingredients in these products was limited and I found the product labels very complicated, so I decided to take matters into my own hands," she adds.
She dove headfirst into extensive research on the benefits of botanical oils and began attending workshops to create her own organic skincare products. The result was a product that both alleviated her daughter's skin concerns and restored a healthy, supple appearance to her young skin. Thus, Arithmos was founded in Melbourne, Australia, and the first product, developed in 2019, was launched in early 2021. This ignited Michelle's passion for creating more effective, natural skincare products.

Inspired by the results of her work and driven by the desire to create even more, Michelle returned to school and enrolled in skincare formulation. Today, she is a qualified cosmetic chemist and clinical aromatherapist.
"Arithmos was born out of my desire to create a simple, natural skincare routine with seasonal ingredients that is highly effective and powerful," says Michelle.
