We celebrate green chemistry by taking strong cues from nature while incorporating science. We don't shy away from ingredients often misunderstood in the "green beauty" category, such as emulsifiers and preservatives. Instead, we seek the most advanced alternatives to these ingredients, such as Ecocert/Cosmos-verified ingredients and NSF-certified preservatives, to develop effective, elegant, and indulgent formulas.

We believe it's important to leave a place better than we found it. Our skincare products come in recyclable glass jars or bottles—we hope you'll support our sustainability efforts by finding new ways to reuse or recycle the packaging.

Our products are free from animal testing, and we do not conduct animal testing on any of our final products.

A few words from the founder

I've always had an affinity for nature. Growing up in Singapore, in Southeast Asia, I was the daughter of an avid nature lover. From an early age, I began exploring the symbiotic relationship between plants and science—I spent my childhood outdoors among plants, trees, and medicinal herbs, and it was in this environment that the first seeds of Forest Rhapsody were planted.

During both pregnancies, I struggled with severe and aggressive flare-ups of hormonal cystic acne. Many of my skincare products aggravated my skin condition and had to be eliminated. After pregnancy, my skin simply lost its resilience. It became slightly sensitive, and I was forced to reevaluate my skincare routine and all the products I knew and used. During this time of trial and error, I vacillated wildly between numerous harsh active ingredients prescribed by top dermatologists and overly simplified formulas that sucked all the joy out of my daily skincare routine.

This experience compelled me to seek gentle yet effective alternatives to the traditional active ingredients available to me until then. Intuitively, I turned to plants for solutions – using clinically proven plant-based bioactives was without a doubt the optimal solution. Many of these cutting-edge active ingredients come from plants I grew up with, learned about, and understood. They are dear to my heart, and I have seen firsthand how these plant-based active ingredients are incorporated into the daily beauty rituals of women in this region.

Through rigorous research, endless experimentation, and numerous trials, I work with a team of chemists to explore innovative ingredients and develop a revolutionary skincare range based on plant-derived bioactives.
